The most beautiful beaches in the world

I confess that I am not a traveler looking for a beach. When I organize any of my trips it is not the sun and the beach that motivates me the most. However, it never hurts to spend a relaxing day listening to the sound of the waves and disconnecting from everything. That is why although my travel priorities are different, whenever our destination offers us the possibility of enjoying a good beach we organize the trip to spend a few days on it. We have known beaches of Europe, America, Africa and Asia. Of all of them, these are for me the most beautiful beaches in the world.

The most beautiful beaches of the world in the Caribbean

The best time to visit any of these Caribbean beaches is between November and March. The rainy and tornado season is over, the temperatures are milder and the sea looks beautiful under a deep blue sky. There is only one problem when visiting any of these beaches: you won’t want to leave them.

Flamenco Beach – Puerto Rico

They say this beach is one of the best in the world. And I assure you that I do not doubt it. Its white sand is sprinkled with coconuts that fall from the palm trees. The water in different shades of intense blue. The green of the trees in contrast with the blue sky. Flamenco Beach is a piece of paradise and one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

It is located on the small Culebra Island, east of Puerto Rico. It can be reached on one of the ferries that depart from Fajardo and enjoy a perfect day at the edge of the sea. Although hidden among the vegetation are some small hotels and food houses, civilization does not seem to have reached this Caribbean place.

Guna Yala – Panama

To the north of Panama, in the Caribbean, you can spend a day in Guna Yala. In this area live one of the most representative indigenous groups of Panama, the Guna. They manage the entrance to the islands. Boats, restaurants or accommodation is also the subject that they carry. The archipelago has 400 islands, some occupied by Guna communities. But most are small paradises where you can enjoy the most transparent Caribbean water you can imagine.

The sand on the islands is fine and very white. Some palm trees offer shade in the hottest moments. And the turquoise water invites you to swim or dive in search of goldfish or starfish. Undoubtedly these islands offer some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

Bocas del Toro – Panama

We are still in Panama. But now we’re going to the border with Costa Rica. That’s where Bocas del Toro is, a region linked to the Spanish discoverers even in their name or that of the islands in the area. Cadenero, Colon Island or Zapatilla Island are some of the places that can be known in Bocas del Toro.

But if I have to stay with a beach in this part of Panama, I think I choose the Beach of the Stars. The colors of its palm trees and that bay of turquoise waters make it one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Although in this case I find that it receives a lot of tourism. That’s why the beach is full of drink stalls, small beach bars and many garbage cans. But if you see it in the distance, there is no doubt that you fall in love with it.

Tulum Beach – Mexico

It was one of the first Caribbean beaches I ever met. It’s probably not the best beach in the Riviera Maya at all. But it offers something that no other beach in the world has: to be able to bathe enjoying the views of a Mayan city. There is no better way to end your visit to the ruins of that city than with a good bath in the Caribbean.

Gili Meno – Indonesia

Indonesia with its 17,000 islands offers beaches for all tastes. From the most touristic of Bali to the most elitist of Lombok. When we traveled to Indonesia however we decided to spend a few days in one of the Gili Islands. of which we knew little: Gili Meno. It is a paradise of tranquility, there are no cars and a walk around its perimeter takes just over an hour. Its beaches are white sand and coral. The water is warm, although you have to be careful with the currents. It is the perfect place to disconnect from everything and enjoy one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. All you have to do is take a good book and let the time pass while you listen to the breeze and the sound of the waves.
